Jason SchwartzmanĀ (born June 26, 1980) is an American actor and musician. Schwartzman made his film debut inĀ Wes Anderson's 1998 filmĀ Rushmore and has since appeared in six other Anderson films:Ā The Darjeeling LimitedĀ (2007),Ā Fantastic Mr. FoxĀ (2009),Ā Moonrise Kingdom (2012),Ā The Grand Budapest HotelĀ (2014),Ā The French DispatchĀ (2021), andĀ Asteroid City (2023). He also has co-writing credit forĀ The Darjeeling Limited.Ā
He is known for his roles asĀ Gideon GravesĀ inĀ Scott Pilgrim vs. the WorldĀ (2010). Scott Pilgrim Takes OffĀ (2023), andĀ the Spot, whom he voices inĀ Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) and the upcomingĀ Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-VerseĀ (2027).Ā Schwartzman's other films includeĀ SpunĀ (2003),Ā I Heart Huckabees (2004),Ā Marie AntoinetteĀ (2006),Ā Funny People (2009),Ā Saving Mr. BanksĀ (2013),Ā Big Eyes (2014),Ā KlausĀ (2019),Ā The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & SnakesĀ (2023), andĀ Queer (2024). Schwartzman has released three albums through his solo musical project, Coconut Records. He was also the drummer in the rock bandĀ Phantom Planet.
He is a member of the Coppola family.
